Caruana Fabiano (30.07.1992)

caruana-smlAn American-Italian Grandmaster (2007) born in the USA and living between Europe and the USA.
Pan-American U10 Champion in 2002 and Pan-American U12 Champion in 2003. Champion of Italy in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011.
Caruana faced Carlsen in the World Chess Championship 2018 in London. All 12 classical time control games were drawn. Magnus Carlsen then won the rapid tiebreak games 3–0.
On 28th September 2002, 10 years, 61 days old at the time, Fabiano became the youngest player ever to defeat a Grandmaster in a USCF rated tournament.
In 2006, he moved to the Italian ranking list and plays for the Italian team. In 2015, he switched back to the U.S. to become the 2016 U.S. Champion and a  member of the U.S. team which won the team gold at the 2016 Olympiad.
