Breuer Josef (07.01.1903 – 02.08.1981)

German chess composer and historian. International Master of Chess Compositions (1973) and IJC 1957. An expert in the Logical Composition School. Since 1923 he has published around 400 problems. Author of monumental work Beispiele zur Ideengeschichte des Schachproblems (Düsseldorf, 1982) and Schwalbenspatauslese (1955).
