HAMBURG

 German city which hosted few prestigious chess events like the German Congresses, Wichern Open, the 1930 Olympiad won by Poland and the 1965 European Team Championship won by Soviet Union. The Hamburg Chess Club (HSK) founded in 1830 is also one of the oldest clubs of Germany and in the world. HSK was West German team champion in 1956 and 1958. In 2019 the city hosted also the third leg of the FIDE Grand Prix.
