CAPABLANCA MEMORIAL

Capablanca memAnnual tournament organized since 1962 by the national chess federation in Havana to commemorate the death of the Cuban champion. The history will remember the 4th tournament in 1962 when Fischer was forbidden to travel to Havana and had to play all his games by telex. From 1983 a challenger tournament was added and from 1991 four Round Robin tournaments were created.
