Belarus Grandmaster (1997). Graduated as a Master of Sport. European Rapid Champion in 2007, Belarus Champion in 2007. Soviet Champion U-18 in1991, 3rd at the World U-18 in 1991, European U-20 Champion in 1992.

Winner at Zonal championship 1993, Minsk 1996, Kstovo 1998, 1-2nd European Individual Championship 2000, Bad Woerishofen 2000/2001, Krasnodar 2000, St. Petersburg and Minsk 2000 and Aeroflot Open 2002, Inautomarket Open (BLR) 2005, Vladimir Open 2008, Abu Dhabi Open 2009, SCS Open Bhubaneswar 2010, Orissa International GM 2010 and 2011, Botvinik Memorial (RUS) 2011; Mumbai Mayor’s Cup 2011.

Between 2000 and 2008, Aleksandrov played at the first board for the national team. At the 1998 Olympiad, he was awarded a bronze medal for the third best performance at the 2nd board.
