Novik-Maxim Russian Grandmaster (2006). St. Petersburg U18 Champion in 1987. Runner up in the World Students Championship in 1994.

Best results: Laukaa Open 1999, 1^st; Novaya Lodoga (RUS) 2002, 2^nd; Heart of Finland 2002, 1^st.

For the last two years, he plays exclusively in Finland. Best ELO: 2538 in 2007.
