NegiIndian Grandmaster (2006). A student of Stanford University since 2014.
Asian Champion in 2012, Indian Champion in 2010.

Negi learned chess at 4 1/2 years of age. He became the youngest International Master ever when he earned his third and final IM norm at the Sort International Open Chess Tournament in Sort, Spain. On 1 July 2006, at the age of 13 years, 4 months, and 22 days, he became the third youngest International Grandmaster ever.

Best results: winner or shared first at the Asian U10 Championship in 2002, Kaupthing Open (LUX) 2008, Philadelphia International 2008, World Open (USA) in 2008, Dato Tan Open (MAL) 2009, Politiken Cup in 2009 and 2013, New Delhi Open 2011, Capelle la Grande Open 2012 and 2013.. Also second at Dubai Cup in 2011.

A member of the Indian team at the 2009 Asian Team Championship and a participant in the 2009 World Cup.

The author of 1.e4 vs The French, Caro-Kann and Philidor (2014), 1.e4 vs The Sicilian I (2015)Parimarjan Negi (2015). 1.e4 vs The Sicilian II.  (2015), 1.e4 vs The Sicilian III (2016).
