Brazilian Grandmaster (1988). Ibero-American Champion in 2010, Champion of Brazil in 1984, 1985, 1986, 1989 and 1995. Champion of Brazil U14 in 1977 and 1980 and Champion of Brazil U20 in 1981 and 1982. Gold medal for the best individual score at board 1 of the Panamerican Team Championship in 2000.
