Russian Grandmaster (1998). Russian U15 Champion in 1989 and 1990 and Russian U20 Champion in 1993 (u20) Kiriakov was a student at the Dvorevsky-Yusupov Chess School from 1990 to 1992 and he is also a coach himself.
Best results: Shared first at Moscow 1995, Chigorin Memorial (RUS) 2000, Hastings Challenger 2001/2002, U.S. National Open 2003, Chicago Open 2005 and Siberian championship 2008.
