Jianu Vlad-Cristian (27.09.1984)

Romanian Grandmaster (2007). Jianu was World U10 vice champion in 1994, European U12 Champion in 1996, Romanian Champion in 2006 and third in 2007. He was also the 2006 Champion of Romania in solving chess and he holds the title of International Solving Master.

Best results: European U14 championship in 1997, 3-5^th; Bucharest Open 2000, 1-2^nd; Mihail Sadoveanu Intl. Open 2003, 1^st; Ciocaltea Memorial 2005, 2^nd; Timisoara 2005 and 2006, 1^st; Gapati Open 2007, 1^st; Novi Grad Sarajevo Open 2010, 2^nd; Balkan Grand Prix 2010, 1-2^nd; Avoine Open 2013 and Plancoet Open 2013, 1^st; Arad International 2016, 2^nd.

A participant with the national team to the  Olympiads and European Team Championships since 2007.
