Hou Yifan (27.02.1994)
Chinese Grandmaster (2008), the youngest female Grandmaster in chess history and Women Grandmaster (2006). Women World Champion 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2016, Asian Women Rapid Chess Champion in 2010, Vice Women World Champion in 2008, World Girls Champion U10 in 2003, second at the World Girls U20 in 2006, third at the World Boys championship in 2004. Women Champion of China 2007 and 2008.
Hou started to play chess at 6. Like most of the top Chinese women, she has been coached by Ye and Chuchulov.
A member of the Chinese team at the world team Championship 2005 and bronze medalist with her team at the Women Olympiad 2006 and 2010. At the same event, she collected a gold medal for the best overall score with 11/13. She was also awarded a silver medal at the 2007 Asian Indoor Games for the second best individual score.
