Croatian Honorary Grandmaster (1990). Yugoslav Champion (joint) in 1953 and Croatian Champion in 1951. He earned Ph.D. degree from the University of Zagreb.
Fuderer played in three Olympiads from 1952 to 1958 with 77% at board six in 1958. During this period he collected two silver and 3 bronze medals. His best achievement was at Hastings 1954-55 (3). He won at Beverwijk II 1953 and qualified for the Interzonal of 1955. He left chess in 1956 for a career in chemistry then in the late 1980’s he immigrated to Belgium.
