Fontaine Robert (18.11.1980)

Menegasque-French Grandmaster (2002) and journalist who is living in Geneva.

Fontaine was the French U10 Champion in 1988 and joint in 1990, U13 and U14 Champion in 1993 and 1994, U16 Champion in 1996 and U20 Champion in 1997 and 2000. He also won a bronze medal at the 2006 French Championship.
Best results: Enghien GM 1995, 3^rd; Hyeres Open 2001, 2^nd; Opatija 2002, 2^nd; Novi Sad GM 2002, 1^st; Rilton Cup 2003-2004, 3^rd-9^th; Portoroz Open 2004, 3^rd; Besançon 2005, 1^st; Val Thorens 2006, 1^st; Las Vegas Masters 2006, 1^st-3^rd and Rilton Cup 2006/7, 1^st; Paleohora Open 1^st-2^nd.

Fontaine was a participant at the 2004 Olympiad.
