Armenian Grandmaster (1991). FIDE Senior Trainer (2015). Graduated in Physical Sport in 1992. World Champion U16 in 1986, U18 in 1989 and World Junior Champion in 1991. Challenger to Alexander Khalifman at the World Chess Championship final match in 1999. Qualified for the 5th round
