CHESS MUSEUM

The Moscow Chess Museum was founded in 1980 at the Central Chess Club of the USSR (at that time), situated in the well-known chess building at Gogolevsky Boulevard, 14. In the exposition there are the prizes won by the Russian chess players at the international chess events, the Hamilton-Rassel and Vera Menchik Cups, and the gifts presented to Soviet chess players by players of various countries. There are some pictures and illustrations by famous painters. There are many chess sets of various countries and periods, a chessboard of Ekaterina the II times. In addition, there are some belongings of famous people such as L.Rudenko, Bykova, and Flohr, and various chess exhibits such as a chess clock from the match Botvinnik-Petrosian, a chess table from the match Karpov-Kasparov 1984-85, etc.
