CHESS PLAYERS’ CHRONICLE
British monthly magazine, the first in English-language was created by H. Staunton in London, 1841. It appeared first as a part of the British Miscellany then in 1843 as an independent magazine. The first series ran from 1841 to 1852 then a second series edited by R. Brian ran from 1853 to 1856 then a third serie edited by Kolish, Zytogorski and Kling from 1859 to 1862. Under the same name a chess magazine was published in London (187Healy 2-1875) then in Glasgow 1876 then once more in London (1877-1880).
