Olaf Barda (1909-02.05.1971), Norwegian International Master and GrandMaster for Correspondence Chess who was  few times the champions of Norway.
Evgeny Zagoryansky (1910-25.09. 1971), Soviet player.
Mikhail Botvinnik (1911-05.05.1995), Soviet-Russian Grandmaster, the sixth Champion of the World in 1948-57, 1958-60 and 1961-63.
Wilhelm Cohn (06.02.1859-1913), German chess Master.
Willem Muhring (1913), Dutch International Master.
Aug 17, 1947: Vladislav Vorotnikov (1947), Russian Grandmaster who got his title at 59 years old.
Thomas Ernst (1960), Swedish Grandmaster.
Michael Wilder (1962), American Grandmaster who became the US Champion in 1988. He retired from chess in the late 1980s and is now a practicing attorney.

Ignazio Calvi (1797– 17.08 1872). Italian chess player and composer. He was the first to use the theme of under-promotion in endgame studies with some depth.
Wilhelm Cohn (06.02.1859-1913). German chess Master.
Fleischmann Leo ( Forgacs) (1881 17.08 1930). Hungarian player who was the champion in Hungary in 1902.
Alfred Kinzel (1912 17.08 2004). German chess amateur, FIDE Officer and former President of the German chess federation.
Dragoljub Miladin Čirić (12.11.1935-2014). Serbia Grandmaster in 1965 who played 2 Olympiads.
