Henri Delaire (1860-27.09.1941), France chess composer and author. He was the first president of the French Chess Federation.
Josef Cumpe (1868-12.08.1943), Czech chess composer.
Vladimir Bagirov (1936-21.07. 2000) Soviet-Latvian Grandmaster, chess author, and trainer who was World Senior Champion in 1998.
Ildar Ibragimov (1967), Russian Grandmaster who was living in the USA for 10 years and played in the bronze medal-winning USA team in the 2006 Chess Olympiad.
Jurij Zezulkin (1971), Belarus-born chess Grandmaster and organiser who is living in Poland since 2010.

Friedrich Samisch (20.09.1896-1975), German Grandmaster who contributed to the opening theory with two variations in the King’s Indian and the Nimzo-Indian.

CHESS EVENTS

1936 The Olympiad in Munich was organized by The Great German Chess Federation, at the time not a member of FIDE. Twenty-one teams participated, and the matches involved teams of eight players. England, Palestine and the United States did not participate.
1957 In Toronto, Canada, William Lombardy of USA won the 4th World Junior Championship with 11/11.
1993 K. Arakhamia GEO won the SFR the Women’s Interzonal in Jakarta.
2008 In Gaziantep Turkey, Abhijeet Gupta and Harika Dronavalli both from India  won the World U20 Championships for Boys and Girls.
2011 In Chennai India, Swiercz Dariusz from Poland and Cori T Deysi from Peru became the  World Junior and Girls Champions respectively.
