1997. Deep Blue, a chess-playing supercomputer, defeats Garry Kasparov in the last game of the rematch, becoming the first computer to beat a world-champion chess player in a classic match format.
2010 11.05 In Sofia Bulgaria Viswanathan Anand of India won the 12th game of the FIDE World Championship and sealed the match versus the Former World Champion Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria with the final score of 6½:5½.
2011 11.05 In Mashad Iran, P. Harikrishna (IND) won the Asian Individual Championship. Harika Dronavalli (IND) became the Women’s champion.
2014 11.05 Nominated by 20 federations, Kasparov Garry Kasparov announced that he will run for FIDE President in the election of  2014.
