Milan Vukcevich (1937-10.05.2003),  a Yugoslav-American scientist and Grandmaster of chess composition.
Elena  Akhmylovskaya-Donaldson-Orlov (1957-12.11.2002), an American Woman Grandmaster born in Russia who lost in 1986 the Women’s Wolrd Championship Final Match against Maia Chiburdanidze by 8½–5½.
Joel Benjamin (1965), an American Grandmaster who was US Chess Champion in 1987, 1997, and 2000.
Petr Neuman (1978), a Czech Grandmaster.
Zaven Andriasian (1989), an Armenian Grandmaster who won the 2005 European Youth U16 Championship and the 2006 World Junior Chess Championship.
Alexandr Fier (1988), a Brazilian Grandmaster.
Sebastien Feller (1991), a French Grandmaster. Accused of cheating, he was banned by FIDE for few years.

DEATHS

Jan Foltys (13.10.1908-1952), was a Czech International Master who participated in 3 Olympiads.
Viacheslav Ragozin (08.10.1908–1962) was a Soviet Grandmaster, an International Arbiter, and a World Correspondence Chess Champion.

CHESS EVENTS
