Romanian Women’s Grandmaster (1982). Romanian Champion in 1983, 1985 and 1987.
The winner of the Tbilisi Interzonal 1982 but the following year, she lost the Women’s Candidates’ Match against Lidia Semionova (4½-5½).
Also the winner at Dortmund in 1987.
Retired from international chess in 2002, she was General Secretary of the Romanian Chess Federation until 2006.
