A participant in 15 Soviet Women Championships between 1960 and 1982, She won the championship in 1965 and came second in 1974.

In the Candidates matches, she lost to Irina Levitina 5 ½-6 ½ (3 -4 = 5) in 1974 and to Elena Fatalibekova 2-6 (0 -4 = 4) in 1977. A participant in 1966 Women Olympiad where she won an individual gold medal for the best performance
