Pachman Vladimir (16.04.1918 – 08.08.1984)

Well-known Czechoslovak chess composer, Grandmaster for Chess Compositions (1976), brother of Ludek. He was specialized in the sphere of three- and four-mover problem with direct checkmates with at least 1000 problems published. Editor of chess compositions in the magazine Československy šach for 20 years. The author of the books Sachová úloha(Praha, 1953), «Vybrané šahove skladby” (Praha, 1980).
