Nadarishvili Gia Antonovich (22.09.1921 – 03.10.1991)

Georgian Chess Composer. International Grandmaster for Chess Compositions (1980) and International Judge for Chess Compositions (1960), the founder of the etude composition in Georgia.

Since 1938 has published about 400 etudes, awarded with 75 prizes, 40 of them first ones. He was the winner of the USSR Individual Composition (Solving) Championship of 1976.

He became famous in the sphere of artistic study. He investigated combinational opportunities of the knights’ interaction.

The author of many books on the chess composition Selected studies (1970), Chess study in Georgia(1975), Study as Grandmaster see it (1982), Looking for the beauty (1986).
