Lommer Harold Maurice (18.11.1904 – 17.12.1980)

English player and composer specialized in artistic game studies with 70 compositions.

He published in 1938 with M.A. Sutherland 1234 Modern-End Game Studies and in 1975, 1357 End-Game Studies (1935-1973). These two books have become the reference in game studies.

He was awarded the titles of International Judge and International Master respectively in 1958 and in 1974. He was also awarded the title of International arbiter in 1962.
