Krikheli Iosif Mikhailovich (10.05.1931 – 02.10.1988)

Georgian Chess Composer, International Grandmaster in Chess Compositions (1984). A physician.

He became famous due to his many-mover problems and Helpmate genre.

Since 1947 he has published about 900 compositions of different genres, preferably many-movers of a logical style and etudes. Seven times he participated in the USSR Championships (1971-87) winning the 15^th championship in 1984.

His best works were collected in a book by D. Gurgenidze, V. Neidze and A. Ivunin Iosif Krikheli. Fairy World(Georgia, 2000).
