Kling Joseph (19.03.1811 – 01.12.1876)
English chess composer, player and musician born in Germany. For many years he lived in Paris as a chess professional before to move to London.
Author of The Chess Euclid (1849) and co-author with Bernhard Horwitz of Chess Studies (1851), a landmark in endgame literature.
He left his name to a multi-mover theme.
