American chess composer. International Judge for Chess Compositions in 1956. He was World Champion for Chess Compositions in 1946 according the Buchwald rating system. He has composed 700 problems. Columnist for Chess Correspondent from 1943 to 1948, Chess Problemist from 1949 to 1952. He left his name to a theme. Author To Allan White (1945) and The best American Chess Problems of 1946 (1948).
