Fabel Karl (20.10.1905 – 03.03.1975)

German chess composer, an International Master for chess composition (1967) and an International Judge for Chess Composition (1964).
He was specialized in the sphere of retro analysis and he published around 1250 problems.

He was also the author of several books, includingRund um das Schachbrett (1947), Fairy Chess Review (1956-58), Kurioses Schach (1960), Schach ohne Grenzen (1969) and Introduction to Retrograde Analysus (1973).
