Chicco Adriano (16.02.1907 – 30.08.1990)

Chicco-AdrianoItalian International Master for Chess Composition (1967), International Judge for Chess Composition (1956). Lawyer, writer and historian. He was also a chess book collector.

Chicco composed more than 500 problems and won 47 first prizes.
Problem editor for 16 years at the Italia Scacchistica from 1933 to 1954.

Author of a few monographs on chess problems and Il problema di scacchi (1943), Il libro complete degli scacchi (1959), Dizionario encyclopedico degli scacchi (with Porreca, 1971) and Storia degli Scacchi in Italia: Dalle Origini Ai Giorni Nostri (with Rosino, 1990).

He gave his name to a twomover theme also known under the name of Moscow.
