Cheney Richard Eugene (17.05.1908 – 30.08.1967)

American problemist, International Judge for Chess Composition in 1957 who was living in Germany and worked as teacher of English. Cheney has composed 300 problems, mostly miniatures in 3 and 4 moves. He left his name to a combination. Author with Buschkle and White of The Two-Move Chess Problem in the Soviet Union 1923-1943 in 1943.
