Bukofzer Maxwell (09.07.1875 – 06.12.1958)

German-American problemist. U.S. Expert of chess composition.
Bukofzer has composed 1200 problems, he is one of the fathers in America of the Fairy Chess.

He is also the author of few stories of Sherlock Holmes such as The Adventure of the Mother-of-Pearl Buttons which appeared in Chess Amateur in 1925.
