Israeli Grandmaster (1997) born in Leningrad. European Senior Champion in 2004 and 2008. Member of the Israeli Team which won the World Senior Team Championship in 2004. Leningrad Champion in 1975, 1976 and 1978. Won or shared first in Soviet Army ch. 1971, Daugava 1976, Kharkov 1977, Polanica Zdroj 1978, Karaganda 1981. ICF Grand Prix and Goonen Memorial 2001. Was also third in the Israeli Open 2004. Former coach of Karpov, Epishin, Vaganian, Smirin, Avrukh and Tyomkin. Best ELO: 2525 in 1995.
