Bellin Jana Malypetrova (09.12.1947)

British Woman Grandmaster (1982) born in Czechoslovakia. She is also an anesthesiologist.
The best British women player of the 70s and 80s. Chairwoman of the FIDE Medical Commission for a decade.
Jana was British Women’s Champion in 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1976 and 1977 (after play-off) (as Hartston) and 1979 (as Miles). At the Olympiad, she earned a bronze medal in 1968 with the Czechoslovakian team, and a silver in 1976 with the English team.
