Śliwa Bogdan (04.02.1922 – 16.05.2003)

Polish Honourary Grandmaster (1987) and Correspondence Chess Grandmaster (1996). Polish Champion in 1946, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954 and 1960 A participant in seven Olympiads between 1952 and 1966. He was awarded a silver medal for the second best individual results in 1952. Among his best results, he won Katowice 1949, second at Sofia in 1957 and third in Mariánské Lázně 1954.
