Best results: Athens and Heraklion 1984 and 1985. He has participated in the Interzonal of 1985 (thirteenth), was seventh at the World Junior 1976 and sixth at the same event in 1978. A promising junior, his chess career was relatively short, and he retired from chess in 1994.
He was a filmmaker and an organizer of chess events. Marcel Sisniega died unexpectedly of a heart attack.
