Romanian Grandmaster (1996) born in Moldovia. Journalist, author and coach. Four times Junior Champion of Moldavia. Moldavian Champion in 1994. Won or shared first at Moscow GM 1992, Chemnitz Open 1997, Bucharest GM 1998, Eforie Open 1998; Co-Champion in Lvov 1995, Hamburg 1997, 2000 and 2008. A participant in the 2001 FIDE World Championship and four time in the Olympiads between 1994 and 1998. In 2001, he was the winner of “Ten Most Important Theoretical Novelties of the Chess Informant 82”. Author of DVD Sveshnikov Sicilian (2000), The Slav Defence (2002) and Anti-Sicilians – A Guide for Black. Best ELO: 2576 in 1999.
